DownThemAll: Latest News

DownThemAll! 4.1 September 21, 2019

I am happy to announce the release of DownThemAll! 4.1, which is available for Firefox and Chrome in their corrsponding add-on websites/stores (there is an issue with updating the Opera package).

This new versions introduces a “subfolder” field that allows you to easily toggle download subfolders. Subfolders were possible before using the renaming mask feature, but it was somewhat non-obvious to discover, so based on user feedback, I added the new drop-down.

Additionally, you now have more options to configure the browser button, there is an import and export facility, and other minor new features.

Thanks again to all the volunteer translators, too, who made it possible to bring DownThemAll! to you in your native language.

If your language isn’t available yet, check out the translation guide and consider if you’d be able to help out.

DownThemAll! for Chrome September 10, 2019

Alright, the first official public release for Chrome is live!

Chrome users can get it here! or by clicking the Chrome Store button on our homepage.

Please be aware that if you configured Chrome to “Ask for every download” where to save files, then it will do exactly that, even for DownThemAll! downloads, and will not let us override that, it seems.

Now available for Opera September 8, 2019

Version 4.0.10 is the first version published on the Opera add-ons site.

Opera support is in the early stages, and while it seems to work reasonably well, there might be issues I am not aware of yet. Please report any issues you find.

Also, we could still use some more translations. In particular for the Japanese language, as DownThemAll! has many many users the Firefox Add-on stats provided by mozilla indicate. But of course every translation is welcome!
Please see the translation guide in helping out.

PS: A version for Chrome should be available soon, too. It is currently pending review from Google.

DownThemAll! 4 – The WebExtension September 1, 2019

We’re back!

The first version of DownThemAll! 4 was just added to mozilla’s add-on site.

Get it here!

Thanks to all the beta testers, translators and people who helped in other functions. Much appreciated.

Now I hope you’ll give this new DownThemAll! a spin.

We’re still looking for people to translate the extension to their native language. If you’re willing to help and your language isn’t yet available, have a look at our translation guide.

If you find bugs or have suggestions on how to improve things for you, please tell us about it. But please make sure other users did not already report the same issue.

Merry downloading!

PS: Beta testers might have two DownThemAll! icons after installing the version from the mozilla add-ons site. This is expected as the beta and the official version are technically different extensions. Just disable the “DownThemAll! beta” add-on in the add-on manager.
